Apply Custom Stats and Effects to Wave Mobs

Using Entity Modifiers

Entity Modifiers let you enhance or customize mobs spawned during gateway waves. Instead of spawning plain zombies, you can create armored champions with potion effects and stat boosts.

In your gateway pearl script, define modifiers that apply to specific mob types or entire waves:

  • Potion effects – add Strength, Speed, Resistance, or custom effects
  • Custom gear – equip mobs with armor, weapons, or special items
  • NBT data – modify mob properties like size, health, or behavior tags
  • Stat changes – adjust damage output, movement speed, or knockback resistance

Stacking Modifiers Across Waves

Early waves might spawn basic mobs with one modifier. Later waves can stack multiple modifiers to create progressively harder encounters. For example, wave one adds Strength I; wave three adds Strength II plus custom diamond armor.

Modifiers are applied when the mob spawns, so changes take effect immediately. Test different combinations to balance difficulty and ensure fights remain engaging without becoming impossible.
