Gamma Boost increases overall exposure by approximately 20 percent, making shadows less harsh and dark areas more visible. This is especially helpful in caves, deep forests, and night scenes where you'd normally struggle to see details.

Explore Dark Locations

Enter a cave or deep forest at night. You'll notice that previously dark corners are now visible without needing to place torches everywhere. Mobs and items are easier to spot, and navigation feels safer.

Combine with Lighting

For best results, still use torches and lanterns strategically. Gamma Boost enhances visibility but doesn't replace proper lighting—it simply makes dim areas more usable. This reduces eye strain when playing on a dim monitor or in a bright room.

Adjust if Needed

If visibility still isn't enough, edit the exposure.fsh file to increase brightness further. If the world feels washed out, reduce the exposure value. Finding the right balance depends on your screen and environment.
