Exploring the Castle and Towers
Finding the Main Castle
The castle is the most prominent structure in Gallardon, located on a raised area within the fortified town. Look for the tall stone towers with yellow flags flying from their peaks—these are visible from almost anywhere in the village and serve as your landmark.
Navigating Inside
Enter through the main gatehouse at ground level. The castle features multiple interior levels you can climb by finding staircases within the towers. Each tower offers different vantage points:
- Lower levels contain storage areas and defensive positions
- Mid-levels provide views over the town and surrounding moat
- Upper tower platforms give you the highest perspective of the entire medieval landscape
Photography Tips
The towers are best explored during sunset when light reflects off the stone and flags. Climb to the highest accessible point and look outward toward the village below and the water beyond. The contrast between the warm sky and cool stone creates dramatic views perfect for screenshots.
