How to Control Who Can Sit on Your Chairs

Preventing Mobs from Sitting

By default, any mob or player can sit on your chairs. If you want to reserve seating for yourself or keep mobs off your furniture, you can lock chairs.

To Lock a Chair:

1. Stand in front of the chair you want to protect

2. Hold an empty hand (no items)

3. Press Shift + Right-click on the chair

The chair will now prevent mobs from sitting on it. Only players can sit on locked chairs.

Unlocking Chairs

To allow mobs to sit again:

1. Repeat the same process: Shift + Right-click with an empty hand

This toggle lets you keep your throne rooms, dining areas, or throne chairs reserved for players while preventing villagers, animals, and hostile mobs from cluttering your seating arrangements. It's especially useful in multiplayer builds where you want specific furniture to remain available for your players.
