Locate Trim Materials

Trim materials come from various sources throughout the world. Most are associated with specific ores and gems—you'll find them through mining, crafting, or trading. Some materials are more common than others, so plan your gathering accordingly.

Gather Efficiently

Before trimming your armor, collect enough material for all four pieces. Since each piece requires its own application at the Smithing Table, having a full stack ensures you won't run out mid-project. Consider farming multiple stacks if you plan to experiment with different trims.

Prepare Your Smithing Table

Set up a Smithing Table in a convenient location—your base or workshop works well. Bring your armor pieces and trim materials together. You'll apply the trim to each piece individually, so organize your inventory to make the process smooth and quick.
