Troubleshoot Dark Spots or Inconsistent Lighting

Common Lighting Issues

Sometimes fullbright doesn't illuminate certain areas evenly—caves may have dark corners, or specific block types might render dimly. This usually happens due to conflicts with other resource packs or incomplete texture coverage.

Fixing Dark Areas

First, check your resource pack load order. If multiple packs are active, Fullbright SP should load last (highest priority) so its brightness settings override others. Reorder your packs in the resource pack menu and reload.

If dark spots persist, verify the pack is fully applied by pressing F3 + T to reload textures. Some blocks (like dark wood or obsidian) may retain shadow textures—this is normal.

Checking for Conflicts

Temporarily disable other resource packs and test if lighting improves. If it does, one of your other packs conflicts with Fullbright SP. You may need to choose between them or find alternative packs that are compatible. Check the mod's documentation or community forums for known incompatibilities.
