Maintain Performance While Using Fullbright
Why Fullbright Stays Fast
Unlike visual shaders that add complex lighting effects, shadows, or reflections, Fullbright works by simply adjusting brightness levels. This means minimal performance impact.
1. The shader doesn't add new visual calculations or effects
2. It removes shadow rendering, which can actually improve FPS on some systems
3. Your computer processes fewer lighting calculations overall
Optimizing Your Setup
If you're still experiencing frame rate drops, check your other video settings:
- Ensure your render distance isn't set too high
- Verify that other heavy mods or resource packs aren't conflicting
- Confirm your loader (Iris, Oculus, OptiFine) is properly configured
- Close unnecessary background applications
Fullbright is designed to run on nearly any computer without requiring high-end hardware. If performance issues persist, they're likely caused by other mods or settings rather than the shader itself.
