Deep cave systems are normally pitch-black, forcing you to place torches constantly. How to Explore Effectively

1. Dig down to any cave system — the shader will automatically illuminate it once you enter

2. Look for ore veins — they're now clearly visible against stone without shadow obscuring them

3. Navigate safely — you can see cliff edges, lava pools, and water sources from a distance

4. Mine efficiently — bring only essential tools and materials; skip torches entirely to save inventory space

Tips for Cave Mining

While the shader lights everything, you may still want to bring a pickaxe, sword, and food. The brightness helps you spot mobs before they attack, but they still spawn normally. Mark your path mentally or use other navigation methods since torches won't help you find your way back — consider leaving a trail of blocks instead if you venture deep.
