Set Up Automatic Backups on a Schedule

Configure Backup Intervals

Automatic backups are the core feature of FTB Backups 3. By default, the mod creates backups at set intervals, but you can customize this to match your playstyle.

Open your mod configuration file (usually found in your config folder). Look for the FTB Backups 3 settings and locate the backup interval option. You can set this to any duration that suits you—whether you prefer frequent saves for high-risk worlds or longer intervals to reduce disk usage.

Enable and Monitor Backups

Once configured, backups will run automatically in the background while you play. A progress bar will appear on your screen when a backup is in progress, giving you real-time feedback.

If you want to control who sees these progress notifications, check the notification settings. You can choose to display the progress bar to all players, only server admins, or hide it completely.

Backups are stored in a dedicated folder structure, keeping your world files organized and easy to manage. The mod handles compression and file organization automatically, so you don't need to manually organize backup folders.
