Manually Trigger a Backup During Gameplay

Use the Backup Command

Sometimes you need to save your world immediately—before attempting a risky build, exploring dangerous territory, or making major changes. FTB Backups 3 lets you create a backup on demand without leaving the game.

Open your chat window and type the backup command. The exact command syntax is available in your mod's documentation, but it's designed to be simple and quick to type. After entering the command, the mod will immediately begin creating a backup.

Monitor the Backup Process

A progress bar will display on your screen showing the backup's completion status. Depending on your world size and system performance, this may take a few seconds to a minute.

While a backup is in progress, you can continue playing normally. The backup runs in the background and won't interrupt your gameplay. Once complete, you'll have a fresh save point you can restore to if needed.
