Manage Backup Storage and Clean Up Old Saves

Review Your Backup Folder

Backups accumulate over time, and depending on your world size and backup frequency, they can consume significant disk space. FTB Backups 3 stores all backups in an organized folder structure, making it easy to see what you have.

Navigate to your backups folder (typically located alongside your world files). You'll see dated folders or files representing each backup. Older backups are good candidates for deletion if you're confident you won't need to restore to them.

Delete Old Backups Safely

In singleplayer mode, you can delete old backups directly from the backup management menu without closing the game. Select the backup you want to remove and confirm deletion.

Alternatively, you can manually delete backup files from your backup folder using your file manager. Only delete backups you're certain you don't need—keep at least a few recent ones as safety nets. After cleanup, your available disk space will increase, and your backup folder will be more manageable.
