Optimize Settings for Low-End Devices
Start with Conservative Defaults
FSR Shaders includes low and medium profiles designed for weaker hardware. Open shader settings and select the low-end profile if available, or manually adjust the following:
Key Adjustments for Weak Hardware
Reduce render resolution: Increase FSR upscaling strength significantly. This is the single biggest frame rate boost—rendering at 50-60% resolution and upscaling maintains clarity while doubling potential frame rate.
Disable or minimize shadows: Turn off shadow rendering entirely. Shadows are the second-largest performance cost.
Lower texture detail: If available, reduce texture filtering quality. This helps older GPUs.
Disable advanced effects: Turn off any bloom, motion blur, or depth-of-field options.
Testing and Refinement
Load a world and play normally for 2-3 minutes. Monitor frame rate in flat terrain, caves, and complex areas like villages. Aim for consistent performance rather than peak numbers.
If still struggling, increase upscaling further. FSR's technology keeps images readable even at aggressive scaling, so don't fear pushing it on low-end devices.
