Adjust FSR Upscaling Strength for Your Hardware
Finding the FSR Settings
Open your shader settings menu while in-game. Look for the FSR or upscaling section—this is where you control how aggressively the shader scales your render resolution.
Tuning for Performance vs. Quality
If your frame rate is still too low, increase the FSR upscaling strength. This renders the scene at a lower internal resolution and intelligently upscales it, freeing up GPU power. You'll notice sharper results than traditional blurry scaling because FSR uses edge-detection technology.
If the image looks too soft or blurry, reduce the upscaling strength. This renders more pixels natively, improving clarity at the cost of frame rate.
Testing Your Changes
After adjusting, fly through a detailed area—forests with leaves and complex terrain work well. Watch for:
- Jagged edges on distant objects (sign of too much upscaling)
- Smooth, readable text on signs and maps
- Consistent frame rate during camera pans
Small adjustments often make the biggest difference. Start conservative and increase upscaling only if you need the performance boost.
