Troubleshoot missing or incorrect snowy leaves

Leaves aren't showing snow

First, confirm you're in a cold biome. Use the debug screen to check biome name. If you're in Taiga or Snowy Plains and still see normal leaves, try:

  • Break and regrow trees: Leaves that existed before the mod was installed won't update. Break them and let new trees grow, or use bone meal on saplings.
  • Check your resource pack: An incompatible pack might hide the snowy texture. Try disabling all packs temporarily.
  • Verify mod installation: Ensure the mod is actually loaded in your instance.

Snowy leaves look wrong

If the texture appears glitchy or doesn't match your resource pack:

  • Switch to Stay True or a Rainbow foliage pack, which have official support.
  • Disable other mods that modify leaves or textures, as they may conflict.
  • Clear your resource pack cache and reload.

Performance issues

The mod is designed to run smoothly. If you experience lag in cold biomes, check for conflicting mods or excessive leaf rendering. The snowy state itself doesn't cause performance problems.

Existing world concerns

The mod is safe for existing worlds and won't corrupt saves. Old leaves simply won't show snow until they're replaced by new growth.
