How to Get the Animated Boat and Minecart Details Working

Boats on Dry Land

Fresh Animations Objects changes how boats behave visually when they are not in water. The oars rest differently when nobody is riding, and the whole boat has a livelier idle. To see this, place a boat on grass, sand, or stone and step out of it. The oars should settle into a relaxed position instead of pointing straight forward.

Chests on Boats

If you are riding a boat with a chest attached (from a mod that adds boat chests), the chest slides around when you turn corners. This is a visual effect only — your items stay safe. Take a sharp turn while rowing and watch the chest shift.

Minecarts

Minecart animations follow the same bouncy style. Ride a minecart along a track and watch how it tilts and jiggles on curves and slopes. To get the full effect:

1. Make sure Fresh Animations Objects is above the main pack.

2. Avoid stacking other packs that replace minecart textures on top of it.

3. Test on a simple straight track first, then add curves and slopes to see the movement.

If the boat or minecart looks static, another resource pack is overriding the model.
