How to Fix Chests That Look Wrong or Static After Installing the Pack

Common Causes

If chests, ender chests, or trapped chests look vanilla or refuse to animate, the problem is almost always load order or a conflicting pack. Fresh Animations Objects replaces the chest textures and adds new opening and closing animations, so anything loading above it will cancel those changes.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

1. Open Resource Packs and confirm Fresh Animations Objects is above Fresh Animations.

2. Check for other packs that touch chests — storage mods, texture packs, or UI packs. Move Objects above them, or disable them temporarily to test.

3. Reload with F3+T (or reopen the resource pack screen) to force textures to refresh.

4. If you use a mod that adds new chest types, note that Objects only covers vanilla chests, trapped chests, and ender chests. Modded chests will keep their own look.

5. Test in a fresh world with only Fresh Animations and Objects enabled. If it works there, add your other packs back one at a time to find the culprit.

What You Should See

Opening a chest should show a springy lid motion. Ender chests get a gentle magical shimmer. Trapped chests show the hidden button under the latch. If any of these are missing, the pack is not loading at the top of the stack.
