Why Version Matching Matters

Freedom Chat Mod must match your server's Minecraft version exactly. Installing the wrong version causes startup errors and prevents your server from running.

How to Match Versions Correctly

1. Check your server's Minecraft version (found in server.properties or your server launcher)

2. Download the Freedom Chat Mod file that corresponds to that exact version

3. Place only that file in your server folder

4. Remove any other versions of the mod if they exist

5. Restart your server

If Errors Still Occur

If your server shows errors after installation:

• Double-check that the mod version number matches your server version
• Verify the file is in the correct folder (usually the root server directory)
• Ensure no duplicate mod files are present
• Check your server logs for specific error messages
