Allow Players with Chat Mods to Join Your Server

Why Players Get Disconnected

By default, Minecraft servers reject players using chat-modifying clients because the server enforces secure chat profiles. Freedom Chat Mod disables chat signing on the server side, but you must also tell the server to accept these clients.

Steps to Enable Client Mods

1. Open your server.properties file in a text editor

2. Find the line that reads enforce-secure-profiles=true

3. Change it to enforce-secure-profiles=false

4. Save the file

5. Restart your server

Once restarted, players using chat-modifying clients will no longer receive connection errors. They can join and play normally without needing to install anything themselves.

Important Note

This setting only works when Freedom Chat Mod is installed on the server. Without the mod, disabling secure profiles alone will not prevent chat reports—it will only allow unverified clients to connect. The mod handles the actual removal of chat signing functionality.
