Adjust Render Distance for Mobs and Entities
Finding the Entity Render Settings
Open your mod configuration menu (usually accessible from the main menu or in-game settings). Look for the Entity Rendering or Mob Rendering section. This controls how far away mobs and animals are drawn before they become invisible.
Tuning for Your Performance
Lower the entity render distance slider if you're still experiencing frame drops in areas with many mobs. Reducing this value means mobs will only appear when you're closer to them, freeing up processing power.
If you want to see mobs from farther away (for example, when hunting or building mob farms), increase the slider. Keep in mind this will use more resources.
Testing Your Changes
After adjusting, go to an area with many mobs—like a spawner or farm—and observe your frame rate. If it's still unstable, lower the distance further. The mod will apply changes immediately without requiring a restart.
You can also disable mob shadow rendering separately if needed, which provides an additional performance boost without affecting how far away mobs appear.
