Use Clearlag to Automatically Remove Ground Items

Understanding Clearlag

Clearlag automatically removes dropped items (from mining, crafting, or mob drops) from the ground at regular intervals. This prevents item entity lag, which accumulates quickly in active worlds and multiplayer servers.

Enabling and Configuring Clearlag

1. Open the FPS Boost Mod settings

2. Find the Clearlag option under Entity Optimization

3. Toggle it ON

4. The default interval is every 3 minutes—items on the ground will vanish

5. Save and apply changes

Tips for Using Clearlag

  • Notification: The mod displays a message when Clearlag runs, so you know when items will disappear
  • Plan ahead: If you're leaving valuable drops behind, pick them up before the timer expires
  • Server use: Clearlag is especially useful on multiplayer servers where item buildup causes noticeable lag
  • Adjust timing: If 3 minutes feels too short, check if the mod allows interval customization in advanced settings

Clearlag works best alongside entity spawning controls for maximum lag reduction.
