Adjust Sunbeam Intensity in Forests
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls). Look for the Forrest Shaders configuration panel.
Modify Light Ray Strength
Locate the sunbeam or light ray intensity slider. This controls how bright and prominent the light rays appear when shining through leaf canopies and tree branches. Increase the value for more dramatic, visible rays; decrease it for subtler lighting that blends better with vanilla aesthetics.
Fine-Tune Canopy Scattering
If available, adjust the leaf block light transmission setting. This determines how much light passes through foliage layers. Higher values create brighter, more defined rays; lower values produce softer, more diffused light.
Test Your Changes
Move to a dense forest area during midday. Stand under thick tree canopies and observe how the sunbeams interact with the leaves. Adjust settings incrementally—small changes often have noticeable effects. Save your configuration once satisfied.
Performance Consideration
More intense sunbeams may impact frame rate on lower-end systems. If you experience stuttering, reduce intensity slightly or lower other shader settings to compensate.
