Setting Up Your First Night at the Forest Dwellers House
Securing the Base Before Dark
When you first spawn, prioritize safety. Check that all doors to the timber-frame house and watchtower are closable and functional. Mobs can slip through gaps, so walk the perimeter and seal any openings in the walls or roof. The gravel path outside is lit by lanterns, but they may not cover all approach routes—consider adding torches or additional lanterns around the pond and forest edges.
Setting Up Your First Night
Head inside the main house and locate a safe room to sleep. The timber-frame design typically includes multiple rooms; choose one away from external walls for extra safety. Place a bed and gather any loose wood or tools you find in chests. Light the interior with torches to prevent hostile mobs from spawning indoors.
Before sleeping, check the watchtower stairs—they're a common mob spawn point if not properly lit. Place torches along the spiral staircase and at the top. Once the interior is secure and lit, you can sleep safely and wake ready to explore or expand your base.
