Expanding Storage and Crafting Space in the House

Finding Room for Chests

The timber-frame house provides a solid foundation, but you'll quickly need more storage. Inspect each room for wall space and corners where chests won't block doors or pathways. The ground floor typically has more room than upper levels. If space is tight, stack chests vertically or use the watchtower's lower levels—they're often less decorated and easier to modify.

Adding Crafting Stations

Place a crafting table in a central, well-lit room near your chests. This keeps your workspace organized and efficient. The house's open timber-beam design usually allows for flexible furniture placement. Consider adding a furnace nearby for smelting, and position it away from wooden walls to prevent accidental fire.

If the interior feels cramped, use the archway connecting the house to the watchtower as a dividing point—keep storage in one structure and crafting in the other. This separation makes your base feel larger and keeps work areas organized.
