Identify Performance Issues

If you experience low frame rates or stuttering after installing Focal Engine Mod, the shader system is likely demanding too much from your GPU. Open the in-game shader menu and check which shader is active.

Reduce Shader Intensity

Switch to a lighter shader pack or access the shader's settings menu to lower:

• Shadow quality and distance
• Cloud resolution
• Lighting effect intensity
• Weather effect density

Start with these reduced and gradually increase until performance drops. This helps you find your system's limit.

Fix Visual Glitches

If you see flickering, missing textures, or broken lighting:

• Ensure OptiFine is installed and up to date
• Verify your resource pack and shader pack are compatible
• Try disabling PBR temporarily to isolate the issue
• Lower render distance slightly—this often resolves shadow artifacts

Last Resort

If problems persist, try a different shader pack entirely. Some packs are more stable than others. You can also disable the mod temporarily to confirm it's the cause, then reinstall or update it.
