Enable and Configure Shader Packs

Access the Shader Menu

Once Focal Engine Mod and OptiFine are both installed, launch Minecraft and enter a world. Open the in-game menu by pressing the designated key (typically accessed through video settings). Look for shader or graphics options—Focal Engine integrates directly here.

Load a Shader Pack

Navigate to the shader selection menu. You'll see a list of available shader packs. Continuum shaders are optimized for this mod and will display noticeably enhanced lighting, weather effects, and cloud rendering compared to vanilla or basic shader packs.

Select your preferred shader. The mod will load it immediately—you don't need to restart the game. Performance may vary depending on your hardware; if you experience lag, try shaders marked as "lighter" or reduce render distance.

Adjust Settings

Most shader packs include in-game sliders for quality, shadow distance, and effect intensity. Access these through the same menu. Experiment with settings to balance visual quality against frame rate. Changes apply in real-time, so you can see results instantly while exploring your world.
