Customize Weather and Lighting Effects

Access Effect Settings

Focal Engine Mod adds weather and lighting customization through the in-game menu. When a shader pack is active, look for advanced graphics or shader options. Many shader packs include their own settings panel for weather and lighting control.

Adjust Weather Appearance

You can typically modify:

  • Rain intensity and fog thickness during storms
  • Puddle visibility on the ground
  • Water ripple animation speed and size
  • Cloud density and movement

These settings let you create the atmosphere you prefer—heavier rain for drama, lighter effects for visibility, or disable weather effects entirely if desired.

Control Lighting Effects

Light ray intensity, contact shadow depth, and block reflection strength are usually adjustable. Increase these for a more cinematic look, or reduce them if they feel overwhelming or cause performance issues.

Real-Time Preview

Changes apply immediately in-game. Stand in different lighting conditions—under trees, in caves, during rain—to see how adjustments affect your world. This helps you dial in the exact visual style you want without restarting.
