Reduce Lag and Improve Performance on Older Computers
Access the Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu from your video settings. Look for the Flux Prism Elite configuration panel—this is where all performance tuning happens.
Switch to a Potato or Low Profile
Locate the preset dropdown menu. Select either the Potato or Low profile depending on your system's age and current frame rate. These presets disable or reduce:
- Shadow resolution and quality
- Bloom intensity around light sources
- Water reflection detail
- Foliage animation complexity
- PBR material processing
Fine-Tune Individual Settings
If you're still experiencing lag, disable features one at a time:
- Turn off waving foliage animation
- Reduce shadow distance (how far shadows render)
- Lower bloom radius to minimize glow effects
- Disable water reflections entirely
Test Your Changes
Load into your world and fly around areas with many blocks and light sources. Monitor your frame rate for 30 seconds to confirm improvement. If performance is still poor, try the next-lower preset or disable more individual features.
You can always re-enable features later as you upgrade your hardware.
