Troubleshoot Fluids Not Fading Properly

Identify the Problem

When a fluid reaches the world edge but doesn't fade smoothly, it's usually because the mod doesn't recognize it. This is most common with modded fluids or special liquid variants.

Check Your Configuration

1. Open your mod's configuration file

2. Verify the fluid is listed in the fading registry

3. Ensure the spelling and namespace match exactly (case-sensitive)

4. Look for any syntax errors in the configuration

Common Issues

Lava not fading: Lava often requires explicit configuration. Add it to your fluid list if it appears opaque at the void edge.

Modded fluids invisible: Some custom fluids may need their registry names added manually. Check the mod's documentation for the correct identifier.

Changes not applying: Always restart Minecraft completely after editing configuration files. Simply reloading the world won't load new settings.

Verify Compatibility

Confirm you're not using Sodium, which is currently incompatible with this mod. If you are, you'll need to choose between Sodium's performance optimizations and Fluid Void Fading's visual effects.
