Configure Custom Fluids to Fade into the Void

Locating the Configuration File

The mod stores its settings in a configuration file within your .minecraft/config folder. Look for the Fluid Void Fading configuration file—it will contain a list of fluids that should render with void-fading behavior.

Adding Fluids to the List

If you have modded fluids that don't fade smoothly into the void (such as custom lava variants or magical liquids), you can add them manually:

1. Open the configuration file in a text editor

2. Locate the fluid registry section

3. Add the fluid's registry name on a new line, following the existing format

4. Save the file

5. Restart Minecraft for changes to take effect

Testing Your Changes

Create a test area where your custom fluid flows off a cliff edge. The fluid should now render with a transparent tail fading into the void instead of appearing as a hard cutoff. If it still doesn't work, double-check the fluid's exact registry name—it must match precisely, including the mod namespace prefix (e.g., modname:fluidname).
