Optimize Performance in Large Modpacks

Reduce Animation Detail

Fluid Motion Logic is designed to run smoothly in modpacks, but on lower-end systems you may experience frame drops. The mod includes options to reduce animation complexity without removing features entirely.

Performance Settings

Disable Idle Animations: Unique idle poses are visually nice but optional. Turning these off frees up rendering resources, especially noticeable when many players are nearby on servers.

Lower Animation Resolution: Some versions allow you to reduce the number of animation frames per cycle. This makes movements slightly less fluid but significantly improves FPS.

Limit Nearby Player Animations: On multiplayer servers, rendering animations for many players simultaneously drains performance. Configure the mod to only show full animations for players within a certain distance.

Testing Your Changes

After adjusting settings, load into a populated area and monitor your frame rate. Small tweaks often yield big performance gains. If you're still struggling, consider disabling the mod's upper/lower body separation feature—this is the most resource-intensive aspect.
