Make Climbing and Swimming Feel More Natural

Understand Climbing Behavior

Fluid Motion Logic adds dedicated climbing animations for ladders and vines. These animations should feel smooth and responsive, but you can fine-tune how your character grips and ascends.

Adjust Climbing Settings

Climb Speed Animation: The mod can sync climbing animation speed to your actual climbing speed. If animations feel disconnected from your vertical movement, check that this synchronization is enabled in the config.

Vine vs. Ladder Animations: Vines and ladders may have slightly different animation sets. If one feels awkward, you can often adjust grip timing or arm positioning separately for each block type.

Swimming Improvements

Underwater Idle Pose: When stationary in water, your character adopts a natural floating position. If this looks wrong, verify that swimming animations are enabled.

Stroke Synchronization: Swimming strokes should match your forward momentum. Desynchronized strokes indicate a config mismatch—ensure animation speed matches your movement speed multiplier.

Testing

Practice in a controlled water area or climbing structure. Adjust settings incrementally and test after each change to find your preferred feel.
