Troubleshooting Flat Lighting Visual Issues

Blocks Still Appear Shaded

If you notice shading hasn't been fully removed:

  • Verify the mod is actually enabled in your configuration
  • Reload or restart your game
  • Move far away from your current location and return to force chunk reloading
  • Check that no conflicting mods are overriding the lighting behavior

Compatibility Concerns

Flat Lighting works best with vanilla rendering. If you're using:

  • Shader mods: They may override flat lighting effects
  • Custom resource packs: Some packs include their own shading that flat lighting cannot remove
  • Other lighting mods: Conflicts may occur

Performance

Flat Lighting is generally lightweight and shouldn't impact performance. If you experience issues:

  • Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date
  • Try disabling the mod to confirm it's the cause
  • Check mod compatibility with your specific game version

Reverting Changes

Simply disable the mod to restore default lighting. Your world data remains unchanged.
