Diagnosing Whether the GPU Memory Leak Fix Mod Actually Solved Your Problem

Set a Baseline First

You cannot tell if the mod worked unless you know how the game behaved before. If you were crashing after roughly the same amount of play time each session, remember that rough duration — it is your baseline.

Testing Procedure

1. Start a fresh game session with the mod installed and play the same way you did when you were crashing. Same world, same activities, same render settings.

2. Time how long you can play before any GPU-related error appears. Compare it to your baseline.

3. Check your log file after the session. Search for the error strings the mod targets. Their absence is a strong signal the fix is working.

4. Repeat the test at least twice. A single good session can be luck; two or three consistent sessions is evidence.

5. If you still see the errors, note the exact moment they appear. Errors that show up immediately on world load point to a different cause than errors that appear after an hour of play.

Interpreting Results

If sessions are now stable, the mod fixed your leak — keep it installed permanently, since the underlying bug does not go away. If crashes still happen but take much longer, the mod fixed part of the problem and another mod is leaking the rest. If nothing changed at all, your issue is likely not a GPU memory leak and you should look at driver-level or hardware causes instead.
