Configuring First Join Message Mod

Setting Up First Join Messages

The First Join Message Mod sends a personalized message to players the first time they join a world. This is useful for immersive introductions or delivering server rules.

Open the mod's settings to edit the firstJoinMessage config. This is the message shown to a new player. You can write any custom text, and use %s to insert the player's name. Leaving the field empty disables the message entirely.

The firstJoinMessageTextFormattingColourIndex config controls the message colour using a colour index value. Adjust this to change how the text appears in chat.

The broadcast option sends a server-wide message to all players whenever a new player joins. Enable it if you want everyone notified of arrivals. Combined with the first-join message, this lets you greet newcomers privately while announcing them to the server.
