Improve Visibility When Underwater or in Lava

Reduce Lava Fog Distance

When submerged in lava, the game applies heavy fog that severely limits visibility. Access the Fire Hud Mod settings and find the lava fog adjustment option. Increasing the fog distance allows you to see further through lava, making navigation and combat much easier.

Enable Enhanced Underwater Vision

The mod includes options to improve visibility in both water and lava. Enable these enhancements to reduce the visual obstruction caused by liquid submersion, helping you locate blocks, mobs, and exits more clearly.

Balance Visibility and Performance

Increasing fog distance may impact performance on lower-end systems. Adjust the fog settings gradually to find a balance between improved visibility and smooth gameplay. You can also enable or disable these features per liquid type if your mod version supports it.

Soul Fire Visibility

When in soul fire, the mod renders your character engulfed in blue flames instead of orange. This visual distinction helps you quickly identify soul fire damage, which is particularly useful in the Nether where soul fire is common.
