Set up a safe random teleport location

Understanding teleport boundaries

FastRTP teleports you to random coordinates within a configurable range. Before using /rtp, you should establish safe teleport zones to avoid spawning in dangerous areas like the Nether or deep ocean.

Configuring your teleport world

Open your mod's configuration file and locate the world settings. You can restrict teleportation to specific dimensions—most players enable it only in the Overworld initially. Set minimum and maximum coordinate values to create a bounded region around your base or settlement.

Testing your setup

Stand in a safe location and use /rtp to test. You should land on solid ground within your configured range. If you spawn in water or air repeatedly, adjust your coordinate boundaries or enable terrain checking if available. Use /rtpback immediately if you land somewhere dangerous—this returns you to your previous location before the teleport.

Expanding safely

Once comfortable, gradually expand your teleport range outward. This encourages exploration while keeping players from teleporting into the void or unloaded chunks.
