Return to your location before a random teleport

Using /rtpback

After using /rtp, you can always return to exactly where you were before the teleport by typing /rtpback. This command works immediately after teleporting and saves you from being stranded in an unfamiliar location.

When /rtpback is useful

Use this command if you teleport into a dangerous biome, deep underground, or far from your base. It's also helpful if you accidentally trigger /rtp and want to stay where you were. The command has no cooldown in most configurations, so you can use it as many times as needed.

Limitations

Your previous location is only stored from your most recent teleport. If you use /rtp multiple times, /rtpback only remembers the location before your last teleport. Walking or traveling normally doesn't overwrite this memory—only another /rtp command does.

Combining with exploration

Many players use /rtp to explore, then /rtpback to return home quickly. This makes it an efficient tool for scouting new areas without losing your way.
