Understand How Background Pinging Works

Parallel Pinging Explained

Fast Server Pings Mod sends ping requests to all your saved servers at the same time, rather than waiting for each server to respond before pinging the next one. This dramatically reduces total refresh time, especially with large server lists.

Status Display During Refresh

While the mod waits for fresh responses, it shows your previously cached server status on screen. This means you see player counts, ping times, and online/offline indicators immediately—you're not waiting for blank entries to populate.

Background Processing

Once you click Refresh, the mod handles all network requests in the background without freezing the menu. Responses arrive asynchronously and update on screen as they come in. This lets you continue browsing your server list while pings complete.

Practical Result

The combination of simultaneous pinging and cached status display creates a seamless experience. You get fast, current information without menu freezing or long waits. This approach is especially valuable for players who maintain extensive server lists or refresh frequently to find active communities.
