Diagnose Why Crafting Still Feels Slow

Check if the Mod is Active

Verify that Fast Recipes Mod is actually loaded. Check your mod list in-game or in your launcher to confirm the mod appears in your active mods.

Distinguish Between Lag Types

There are different kinds of lag. Fast Recipes Mod specifically fixes recipe lookup lag—the freeze when opening crafting tables or searching recipes. It does not fix:

• General server/world lag from too many entities or chunks
• Rendering lag from graphics settings
• Network lag on multiplayer servers
• Lag from other mods' heavy operations

Test Crafting Specifically

Open a crafting table and place items in the grid. If this action is instant and responsive, the mod is working. If your entire game is slow everywhere, the issue is elsewhere.

Report Actual Issues

If crafting tables specifically lag despite the mod being installed, check that no conflicting mods are interfering with recipe systems, and verify your game has adequate RAM allocated.
