Use Farsight Mod on Multiplayer Servers

Verify Server Compatibility

Farsight Mod is entirely client-side, meaning it requires no special server configuration and works on any vanilla or modded server. You don't need permission from server administrators to use it.

Install and Play

Simply install the mod on your client and join any server as normal. The mod will immediately begin caching chunks beyond the server's official render distance limit, giving you a personal advantage without affecting other players or server performance.

Coordinate with Other Players

Remember that other players without the mod see a shorter render distance. When collaborating on builds or navigation, account for this difference. Distant landmarks visible to you may not be visible to teammates using default settings.

Server Updates and Changes

Since the mod stores chunks locally, changes made by other players in distant areas won't appear in your cached view until the server reloads those chunks. For real-time collaboration, periodically move away and return to force the server to refresh chunk data.
