Farseek Mod Guide

What Farseek Does

Farseek is a library mod, not a content mod. It provides a Scala-based API for Minecraft, which means it exists to give other mods a shared set of programming tools rather than to add blocks, items, or mobs you can use in-game on its own.

Why You Might Need It

If you install Streams or Repose, those mods depend on Farseek to function. Without it present, they will not load correctly. This is the main reason a player would ever add Farseek to a modpack.

What to Expect In-Game

After installing Farseek, you will not see new content, recipes, or mechanics. It works quietly in the background, supplying code that dependent mods call on. There is nothing to configure or interact with.

Practical Notes

Treat Farseek as a required companion for the mods that use it. Install it alongside them, keep it enabled, and otherwise ignore it. If a dependent mod fails to start, checking that Farseek is present is a sensible first step.
