How to Make Cooking Oil for Deep Frying

Gather Seeds

Collect pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds. Pumpkin seeds drop from pumpkins, while sunflower seeds come from harvesting Mammoth Sunflowers (tall crops that grow in summer with Serene Seasons installed) or regular sunflowers.

Press Oil at a Cooking Station

Place your seeds in a Cooking Station or Stove. The mod uses the Farmer's Delight cooking system—seeds are processed into cooking oil through the appropriate recipe. Check your recipe book for the exact seed-to-oil conversion.

Use Oil for Frying

Once you have cooking oil, use it to prepare deep-fried dishes:

• Fried chicken
• Fish and chips
• Fried tomatoes

Cooking oil is consumed during the frying process, so gather extra seeds if you plan multiple fried meals. Oil-based recipes typically require the Cooking Station or similar Farmer's Delight equipment.

Optimize Production

Grow Mammoth Sunflowers in dedicated crop rows for steady oil production. If you have Pam's HarvestCraft 2 installed, additional seed sources may be available from that mod's crops.
