How to Forage and Cook Wild Meals

Find Forageable Plants

Walk through natural biomes—forests, grasslands, and wetlands—to find wild plants. Forageable ingredients include wild greens, bamboo shoots, and other vegetation that can be harvested by hand or with tools.

Gather and Prepare

Collect forageable plants as you explore. These raw ingredients are used directly in recipes without needing to be grown at home, making them ideal for early-game survival meals.

Cook at a Cooking Station

Bring your foraged ingredients to a Cooking Station (from Farmer's Delight). Combine them according to recipes to create:

  • Wild greens salad
  • Braised bamboo shoots
  • Garden veggie soup
  • Pumpkin curry

Combine with Other Ingredients

Many foraged meals benefit from adding vanilla ingredients like vegetables, herbs, or spices. Check your recipe book to see what pairs with each foraged item. Some recipes may require cooking oil or other prepared components.

Foraging is fastest early on and requires no farm setup, making it perfect for quick meals during exploration.
