How to Cook Meals in the Cooking Pot

Placing and Fueling the Pot

The Cooking Pot is the centerpiece of Farmers Delight cooking. Place it over a heat source — a campfire, lit furnace, magma block, or similar — and it will begin heating. Right-click the pot to open its interface. It holds a stack of ingredients plus a container slot for bowls or bottles, so finished meals can be served directly.

Cooking and Serving

Add ingredients matching a known recipe. When the combination is valid, the pot shows the resulting meal and begins cooking over time. Once done, the meal sits in the pot and can be taken with a bowl or bottle from the container slot. Many meals — stews, soups, and plated dishes — require a bowl, so keep a stack handy. If you add an invalid combination, nothing cooks; remove items and try again.

Practical Tips

  • Use a hopper or pipe to feed ingredients if you want automation.
  • The pot keeps cooking as long as it is heated; you do not need to babysit it.
  • Meals restore more hunger and give better saturation than their raw parts, so cooking surplus crops is worthwhile.
  • Some recipes need specific tools or extra steps (like cutting board prep) before the pot accepts them.
  • Break the pot with an empty hand or correct tool to retrieve it and its contents.
