Adjust Bloom Intensity to Reduce Eye Strain
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls settings). Look for the Fantasy Unbound Shaders configuration panel.
Reduce Bloom Amount
Locate the bloom or glow intensity slider. If the heavy bloom effect feels overwhelming or causes eye strain during extended play sessions, lower this value gradually. Start by reducing it by 20-30% and test in different lighting conditions—near lava, glowing caves, and during sunrise.
Fine-Tune Light Thresholds
Many shader packs include a brightness threshold setting that controls which blocks trigger bloom. Raising this threshold means only the brightest light sources glow, reducing overall bloom coverage. This is useful if you want to keep the fantasy aesthetic while toning down the effect.
Test Your Changes
Visit areas with varied lighting: bright caves with glowstone, dark forests, and water surfaces. Adjust settings until the bloom complements rather than dominates your view. Remember that bloom intensity can be toggled on and off entirely if you need a break from the effect.
