Create a Dynamic Hologram That Updates Automatically
Using Placeholder Text
Dynamic holograms display information that changes over time. When creating your hologram, use placeholder syntax in your text. The exact placeholder format depends on your server setup, but commonly includes variables for time, player count, or custom values.
For example:
`
/hologram edit myhologram addLine Players online: {player_count}
/hologram edit myhologram addLine Current time: {time}
`
Setting Update Frequency
Tell the hologram how often to refresh its text:
`
/hologram edit myhologram updateTextInterval 5
`
This updates the hologram every 5 seconds. Lower values mean more frequent updates but use more server resources. Adjust based on how real-time your information needs to be.
Testing
Use /hologram teleport myhologram to watch your dynamic hologram update in real-time. If placeholders aren't working, verify your server has the necessary data sources configured and that placeholder names match your setup.
