Display a Custom Entity in a GUI Screen

Setting Up Entity Rendering

Fancy Entity Renderer Mod provides the backend for mods to show creatures and entities in non-world screens. If you're using a mod like FancyMenu that integrates with this library, entities will render automatically in menus and custom interfaces.

How It Works for Players

When a mod uses Fancy Entity Renderer, you'll see entities displayed in:

  • Custom menu screens
  • Selection panels for creatures or items
  • HUD overlays
  • Inventory-like interfaces

The entities will rotate, animate, and display just as if they were in the world, but rendered flat on your screen. This is purely a visual enhancement—you don't need to configure anything as a player. Simply install the mod alongside mods that use it (like FancyMenu), and entity previews will appear automatically in supported interfaces.

Troubleshooting

If entities aren't showing:

  • Ensure Fancy Entity Renderer is installed
  • Check that the mod using it (e.g., FancyMenu) is also installed
  • Verify both mods are compatible with your Minecraft version
  • Restart the game after installing
