How to Change Fancy Block Particles Settings In-Game

Opening the Config

Fancy Block Particles Renewed is client-side, so all of its options live on your side of the game. Open the mod list from the main menu or pause screen, find Fancy Block Particles Renewed, and click the config button. You can also reach the same screen through the standard mod options menu if your mod loader routes it there. Everything you change applies immediately in most cases, but a few particle types only refresh after you reload the world.

Tuning Particle Types

Inside the config you will find separate toggles and sliders grouped by effect: block breaking, block placing, rain, snow, and other ambient particles. Each group usually has an on/off switch plus density or lifetime controls.

  • Turn a group off to fall back to vanilla particles for that effect only.
  • Lower the density slider if you are on a weaker machine or playing with heavy shaders.
  • Raise lifetime if you want broken-block cubes to linger on the ground longer.

Testing Your Changes

Break a few blocks, place some, and stand outside during rain or snow to confirm the look. If performance drops, disable the heaviest group first (usually block breaking) rather than turning the whole mod off, so you keep the 3D weather effects you like.
