Ensure Dependent Mods Work with FalsePatternLib
Understand Dependencies
FalsePatternLib is a library mod — it doesn't add content itself. Instead, it provides shared code that other mods rely on. If you install a mod that requires FalsePatternLib, you must have this library present.
Install Correctly
1. Download FalsePatternLib and place it in your mods folder
2. Download any mods that list FalsePatternLib as a dependency
3. Place all mods in the same mods folder
4. Launch Minecraft — the mod loader will initialize FalsePatternLib first
Verify Compatibility
Before installing a dependent mod:
- Check its documentation for the required FalsePatternLib version
- Confirm both mods target Minecraft 1.7.10
- Read the mod's changelog for known issues
Test Your Setup
After installation:
1. Launch the game and check the mod list
2. Look for both FalsePatternLib and the dependent mod
3. Play briefly to ensure no crashes occur
4. Check the log file for warnings
