About Factory API Mod

Factory API Mod is a library mod, meaning it does not add gameplay content on its own. Instead, it provides shared code that other mods rely on to function. If you install a mod that depends on Factory API, such as Factocrafty or Better Furnaces Reforged, you must also install Factory API alongside it, or the dependent mod will not work.

What It Provides

For players, the main practical effect is compatibility. Factory API gives mod developers shared tools like UI definitions for screens and GUIs, common network handling, and unified item, fluid, and energy storage across mod loaders. It also supports block lighting levels with Level access on some loaders.

Do You Need It?

Only install Factory API if another mod you use requires it. On its own it changes nothing in your game, so there is no reason to add it by itself.
